2. Personal data subject to processing

Following navigation of the website, we inform You that the Controller will process personal data that may consist of an identifier such as a name, an identification number, an online identifier suitable to make the data subject identified or identifiable (hereinafter only "personal data"):

a. Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct operation, to allow - given the architecture of the systems used - the correct provision of services, for security reasons and to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the website or third parties; and are normally deleted after sixty days.

  • a. to enable the provision of the requested services (for example, contact requests, requests for information, requests to send documentation, reports of abuse), as well as navigation of the webite;
  • b. to meet specific requests addressed to the Controller;
  • c. to fulfil obligations under applicable laws, regulations or EU legislation, or to comply with requests from the authorities;
  • d. to carry out direct marketing by e-mail for products and services similar to those You have requested (including: demos, material or downloadable documentation on the website), unless You expressly refuse to receive such communications, which You may express when requesting the services or on subsequent occasions by writing to privacy@synbios.com
  • e. to carry out marketing activities by e-mail for the promotion of products and services.

Your personal data will be processed using mainly automated IT tools.

4. Lawfulness criteria and necessary or optional nature of processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purposes referred to in section 3.a. and 3.

b. is Art. 6, par.1, lett. b) EU Reg. 2016/679 ("[...] processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract "), as the processing operations are necessary for the provision of services or for the response to requests from the data subject. The provision of personal data for these purposes is necessary and failure to provide it would make it impossible to activate the services requested or to respond to Your requests.

The processing of Your personal data for the purpose referred to in section 3.c. is carried out pursuant to Art. 6.1 lett. c) EU Reg. 2016/679 ("[...] processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject "). The provision of personal data for this purpose is necessary and failure to provide it would make it impossible to fulfil the legal obligations.

The processing of your personal data for the purpose described in section 3.d is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of the Controller to carry out direct marketing activities (art.6.1 lett. f) EU Reg. 2016/679; art. 130, co. 4, d.lgs. 196/2003). You may object to the processing of Your personal data for this purpose both when requesting the products and services available on the website and in subsequent communications by using the appropriate unsubscribe link present in each email that will be sent to You.

The processing of Your personal data for the purpose referred to in section 3.e requires Your explicit consent pursuant to Article 6.1, lett. a), EU Reg. 2016/679. 5. Recipients of Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared, for the purposes set out in section 3, with

  • a. parties that typically act as data processors, so: i) persons, companies or professional firms that provide assistance and consultancy to the Controller in administrative and legal matters, in relation to the provision of services; ii) parties with whom it is necessary to interact for the provision of services, in their capacity as data processors; iii) or parties delegated to carry out technical maintenance activities (including the maintenance of network equipment and electronic communication networks); collectively "Recipients";

6. Transfer of personal data

The Controller will not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.

7. Storage of personal data

Personal data processed for the purposes referred to in sections 3.a. and 3.b. will be kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve those purposes. In any case, since the processing is carried out for the supply of goods/services, the Controller will keep the personal data for as long as permitted by Italian law to protect its interests (Artt. 2946 ss of the Italian Civil Code).

Personal data processed for the purposes referred to in section 3.c. will be kept until the time provided for by the specific obligation or applicable law.

Personal data processed for the purpose referred to in section 3.d. will be processed until you object to such processing.

This is without prejudice, in any case, to the possibility for the Controller to keep your personal data for the time provided for and allowed by Italian law to protect its interests (Art. 2947 par. 1 and 3 of the Italian Civil Code).

Personal data processed for the purpose referred to in section 3.e. will be processed until the data subject's consent is revoked pursuant to Article 7 EU Reg. 2016/679.

8. Rights of data subjects

You may at any time exercise Your rights under Articles 15-22 of the Regulation to the Controller.

In particular, at any time, You shall have the right to request:

  • access to Your personal data;
  • their rectification in the event of their inaccuracy;
  • their erasure;
  • the restriction of their processing.

You will also have:

  • the right to object to their processing if they are processed in pursuit of a legitimate interest of the Controller, if You consider that your fundamental rights and freedoms have been violated;
  • the right to request that the data You have provided to the Controller be transferred to another controller ("right to portability"), where the processing is based on Your consent or on a contract concluded with You and is carried out by automated means;
  • the right to receive, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, personal data relating to You pursuant to Article 20 EU Reg. 2016/679;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Autorità Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

You are also reminded that, pursuant to Art. 7, par. 3 of the Regulation, You have the right to withdraw Your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the previously acquired consent.
